Dilek Sabancı was born in Adana on 24 October 1964.

Dilek Sabancı's business life;

She established VISTA Tourism and Travel Co. in 1989. VİSTA is a leading company in the tourism sector and renders service to its customers with regard to personal service and custom designed local and international travel arrangements. In addition, VİSTA is the Turkish representative for Carlson Wagonlit (CWT) chain which has 4,100 offices in 151 countries all over the world. Dilek Sabancı is still the Chairwoman of the Executive Board of VİSTA TOURISM AND TRAVEL CO.

 

She established Dilek Property Investments and Tourism Co. in 2008 and she is still the Chairwoman of the Executive Board.  

 

Dilek Sabancı is a Member of The Board of Trustees of the Sabancı Foundation and is the Honorary President of Turkish Special Sports Association (TÖSSED).


Awards received by Dilek Sabancı;
A Drop of Love to A Sea of Service 2000, granted by the Lions Club for her support to the education of the disabled children,  


”Special Award” 2001, granted by the Antalya Mediterranean University for her support to the disabled,


”Antalya 2001 Plaque” from the Turkish Weightlifting Federation for her support to the 71st Men’s and 14th Women’s World Weightlifting Championship, 


”Antalya 2001Plaque” from the International Weightlifting Federation for her support to the 2001 World Championship,  


“2001 Fair Play Behavior Category Grand Award” from the Turkish National Olympics Committee,


”Honor Award” for her contributions to the 2002 Information Olympics (BİTEK-O), 

 
“Special Award” from Eunice Kennedy Shriver, President of Special Olympics in U.S. Washington, for her support and contributions to the 2002 Special Olympics,


”Honor Award” granted by the Fevziye Schools Foundation for her support to sports activities for the disabled.

 

Dilek Sabancı was granted the “INNER WHEEL Special Award” by the Rotary’s women club in 2002 for her support for the disabled.

 

Dilek Sabancı was granted the “Outstanding Success Award” by the Rotary clubs for her support to social accountability projects.

 

Dilek Sabancı Awards;
Dilek Sabancıgrants the “Dilek Sabancı Awards”every year to students, teachers and sportsmen/women who are successful in their respective fields in order to encourage commitment and success.

 

Special Olympics;
The Turkish Special Olympics is part of the International Special Olympics.

 

The Turkish Special Olympics Organization has currently reached out to 16,000 children with mental disabilities. Out of this number 3.000 are actively in sports.

 

Dilek Sabancı works with the committee members, volunteers and athletes and allocates most of her time to social activities for the mentally disabled children so as to draw the people’s attention to this sensitive issue. In order to avoid prejudice and to encourage the mentally disabled children and their families, she organizes various sports activities all over Turkey.

 

Sabancı Foundation;
The following organizations and institutions were established in cooperation with the Sabancı Foundation which Dilek Sabancı is the Member of the Board of Trustees:  
“Dilek Sabancı Sports Center” in Antalya, “Dilek Sabancı Anatolian Vocational Trade School”, “Beşiktaş Municipality Dilek Sabancı Park for the Disabled”, “Sakıp Sabancı Anatolian Vocational School”, “Türkan Sabancı Primary School for the Sight Impaired” and “Metin Sabancı Research, Education and Rehabilitation Center for Spastic Children” in İstanbul, "Dilek Sabancı Konya Selçuk University Conservatory", "Mardin Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery” and “Mardin Sakıp Sabancı City Museum".

 

Dilek Sabancı is also the founder member of the Tohum Foundation.

 

Dilek Sabancıadores active business life and the associations activities and takes great pleasure in traveling to different countries, meeting different people and cultures, reading books, listening to music, going to movies, doing sports, watching movies and spending time with her family and friends.
